Unemployment and Schooling System: Economic Integration of Immigrants in Norway
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper deals with immigrants in the labour market and their integration in the educational system in Norway. In terms of economic integration of immigrants, the situation of migrants in the labour market and indicators on employment and unemployment were assessed. Despite a high number of immigrants, Norway maintained a very low unemployment rate. The biggest minorities in Norway are formed by Poles, Swedes and Lithuanians. Norway permanently faces shortages of workers in many professions. The sectors, where immigrants often work, are health and social care, trade, administrative and manufacturing. From the perspective of social integration of immigrants the functioning of the education system was reviewed, which shows a very good access to education for children of immigrants.
