As the current unemployment rate data show, the saturation of the labour market in the Czech Republic has reached its limits. This starts to create a barrier to further economic growth. With the number of contracts likely to increase, companies and organizations must expect to be facing growing employee pressure for more competitive salaries and wages. At the same time, they will also need to pay more attention to the quality of diversity management, age management, and the employee motivational structures. Evidence supporting these rising tendencies can be traced in the training programmes realized for companies from the automotive industry sector in September 2017 at the ŠKODA AUTO Vysoká škola o.p.s. Human resource managers have expressed consistent demands on getting familiarized with the current trends in personnel management. Besides topics such as Industry 4.0, virtual assessment centre, or big data, the most desired topics were diversity and age management. The most burning problems the HR staff have been facing recently are a lack of employees, their high fluctuation, and the age structure with differences in motivation. With respect to this reality, a research study has been launched to identify specific motivational factors (motivators) of the generations classified as X, Y, Z. This paper suggests a training structure on new trends in human resource leadership, discusses the needs of managers, explains the typology of individual generations X, Y, Z and presents the research results. U jednotlivých motivačních faktorů budou vyhodnoceny podmíněné průměry a definované hypotézy. Theoretical and practical information presented in this study has been supported by local, as well as international sources, interviews with specialists, facilitated discussions, and surveys. Both authors also reflect on their personal experience from cooperation with the prospective generations.
