In enger Verbindung mit dem grundlegenden Kommunikationsnetz in dem breiteren Areal der königlichen Stadt Brünn verfolgen die Autoren verschiedene Formen der sozialen Kommunikation und Präsentationen auf den drei Hauptplätzen von Brünn im Stadtgebiet (sogenannter Kohlmarkt, Freiheitsplatz und Dominikanerplatzt) vom Mittelalter bis zum Ende der Frühen Neuzeit. Die Untersuchung führt zu Rückschlüssen über die spezifische und zugleich komplizierte und vielschichtige soziale Dimension der genannten Plätze (diese Befunde stimmen also mit der neuesten ausländischen Literatur überein die unter dem Termin Platz den differenzierten sozialen Raum versteht).

In close connection with the basic communication network in the wider area of the royal city of Brno, the authors follow various forms of social communication and presentations on the three main squares of Brno in the urban area (so called Cabbage Market, Liberty Square and Dominican Square) from the Middle Ages to the end of the early modern period.. The research leads to conclusions about the specific and at the same time complicated and multilayered social dimension of the mentioned squares (these findings are thus in accordance with the latest foreign literature understanding the square as a differentiated social space)
