Výtvarnému umění spojenému s českým reformačním prostředím v pozdním středověku a na počátku raného novověku, kdy se k domácímu utrakvismu přidaly další reformované proudy, byla v poslední době věnována značná pozornost v rámci snahy definovat či redefinovat kulturu české reformace prostřednictvím výstav, dílčích studií, ale i v rámci nových syntéz českých dějin. Dosavadní literatura již popsala interakci mezi myšlenkovými světy luterství, českých utrakvistů a také Jednoty bratrské. V jejím kontextu hraje zajímavou roli i odraz těchto světů v dochovaných artefaktech výtvarného umění. Právě této problematice se věnuje tato studie, která se snaží ukázat význam výtvarných artefaktů při identifikaci přívrženců Martina Luthera, jehož jasně formulovaná věrouka je do nich vepsána. Pozornost je logicky zaměřena na severozápadní a severní Čechy, které hrály naprosto zásadní roli při šíření luterské víry a kde existovalo nejvíce luterských sborů v předbělohorské době. Dochovaná výtvarná díla jsou velmi důležitá s ohledem na to, že luteráni jsou v českém prostředí na základě písemných pramenů těžko identifikovatelní. Proto lze považovat výzkum dochovaných děl výtvarného umění, zejm. interpretaci a uplatnění ikonografických námětů souvisejících Lutherovým učením, za velmi důležité pro poznání existence a projevů luterské víry v raně novověkých Čechách.

Fine art related to the Czech reformation environment in the Late Middle Ages and at the beginning of the Early Modern Period when other reformation movements followed the domestic Utraquism has been thoroughly examined recently as a part of attempts to define and redefine the culture of the Czech reformation through various exhibitions, studies and in the new syntheses of the Czech history. Existing literature has described the interaction among intellectual worlds of Lutheran reformation, Czech Utraquism and the Unity of the Brethren. In this context, the reflection of these worlds as reflected in the preserved fine art artefacts plays an interesting role here. The study is focused on this very issue. The study is focused on the significance of fine art artefacts when identifying Martin Luther&apos;s followers which reflects his clearly articulated teaching and is embodied on these artefacts. The focus is thus primarily on the North-West Bohemia and Northern Bohemia regions that play a fundamental role in disseminating the Lutheran reformation and where there were most Lutheran communities in the Pre-White Mountain Battle period. Preserved fine art artefacts are of eminent importance in regard of the fact that the Lutheran believers are hard to identify in the written documents in the Czech lands. Thus the research of the preserved fine art artefacts, and mainly the interpretation the use of the iconographic themes related to the Lutheran teaching could be considered a rather significant aspect of the knowledge about the existence and Lutheran faith manifestation the Early Modern Bohemia.
