Der Vergleich des klassischen jüdischen Achtzehnbittengebet (Amida) mit der Vorstellung eines Gebets im Buch Jesus ben Sira, das das frühe Judaimus repräsentiert. Ein Gebet in diesem Sinne hat nicht nur die Funktion der menschlichen Aussage, sondern auch die Funktion einer Antwort darauf was man als göttliches Handeln und Gottes Rede versteht. Es gibt keine literarische Abhängigkeit zwischen den beiden Texten. Dennoch ist es bemerkenswert, wie viele Übereinstimmungen zwischen ihnen bestehen. Das ist auch ein Zeugnis für die Konsistenz der jüdischen Tradition.

Comparison of the classic Jewish Prayer of the Eighteen Prayers (Amida) with the idea of prayer in the book Jesus Sirach, which represents early Judaism. Prayer in these concepts has not only the function of human self-expression, but also the function of answering what one understands as God's actions and God's speech. There is no literary dependence between the two texts. Yet it is remarkable how much agreement there is between them. This also indicates a certain consistency in Jewish tradition.
