Der aus der Tschechoslowakei stammende Autor Jan Faktor (*1951) ist nicht nur als Autor experimenteller Werke, sondern auch als Romanautor und Übersetzer bekannt. Nach seiner Übersiedlung (1978) in die DDR etablierte er sich in der Szene des Prenzlauer Bergs und begann ausschließlich auf Deutsch zu schreiben. Im Rahmen dieses Beitrags werden zwei seiner Werke ? das Seriengedicht "Georgs Sorgen um die Zukunft" und sein Roman "Georgs Sorgen um die Vergangenheit oder im Reich des heiligen Hodensack Bimbams" ? analysiert. Der Fokus wird auf die Hauptfigur Georg und seine Sorgen gelegt. Es werden die Art und Weise, auf die Georg seine Sorgen äußert, Gründe für seine Sorgen und Zusammenhänge in beiden Werken untersucht.

The Czechoslovak-born writer Jan Faktor (*1956) is not only known as the author of experimental works but also for his novels and as a translator. After his transition (1978) to the GDR he settled into the Prenzlauer Berg scene and started to write exclusively in German. This paper focuses on the analysis of two of his works, the serial poem "Georgs Sorgen um die Zukunft" and his novel "Georgs Sorgen um die Vergangenheit oder im Reich des heiligen Hodensack Bimbams". The center of the analysis will be the Georg character. His mode of communicating his worries, the reasons for his worries, and the connection of both works will be examined.
