Gegenstand der Studie ist der Alltag und das Handwerk der Schöpfer politischer Karikaturen in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts auf dem Gebiet der heutigen Tschechischen Republik. Im Mittelpunkt stehen das damalige Medienumfeld, die Zensur, Unfug wie Karikaturen (Verfremdung von Sujets und Zeichnungen) und die Beziehungen zwischen den einzelnen Künstlern. Auch der technische Aspekt der Schaffung von Karikatursatire und ihre damaligen Möglichkeiten werden nicht ausgespart.

The subject of the study is a look at the everyday life and profession of political cartoonists in the first half of the 20th century in the territory of the present-day Czech Republic. It focuses on the media environment of the time, censorship, abuses such as the copying of cartoons (theft of themes and drawings) and the relationships between individual creators. The technical side of creating cartoon satire and its possibilities at that time were not left out either.
