Die Anfänge des deutschsprachigen Kreises der Freimaurerei in den tschechischen Ländern reichen bis in die zweite Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts zurück. Während der Tschechoslowakischen Republik gab es in den deutschsprachigen Regionen des Landes über 30 Vereine mit fast zweitausend aktiven Mitgliedern. Ziel der Veröffentlichung ist es, die Entstehung des Vereins, seine Institutionalisierung in der Zwischenkriegszeit-Tschechoslowakei, die soziale Zusammensetzung der Organisation und die unterstützenden (wohltätigen) oder pädagogischen Aktivitäten dieser Vereine zu beschreiben

The beginning of the German-speaking circle of Freemasonry in the Czech lands dates back to the second half of the 19th century. During the Czechoslovak Republic, there were more than 30 associations located in German-speaking regions across the country with almost two thousand active members. The aim of the publication is to describe the genesis of the association, its institutionalization in interwar Czechoslovakia, the social composition of the organization and a reflection of the supporting (charitable) or educational activities that these associations created.
