Eine Abhandlung über die hebräische Prophezeiung und ihre Beziehung zum Volk Israel. Am Beispiel des Buches Ezechiel belegt er, dass der Prophet nicht nur ad hoc als Sprecher Jahwes auftrat, sondern sich kontinuierlich zur allgemeinen Krise äußerte. Er war also eine Art Wegweiser, dessen Worte die historische Entwicklung belegen. Gleichzeitig wird anhand dieses Beispiels die Beziehung des Individuums zum nationalen Ganzen analysiert.

A treatise on Hebrew prophecy and its relationship to the people of Israel. Using the book of Ezekiel as an example, he demonstrates that the prophet did not merely act as Yahweh's spokesperson on an ad hoc basis, but continuously commented on the general crisis. He was thus a kind of guide whose words bear witness to historical developments. At the same time, this example is used to analyze the relationship between the individual and the national whole.
