Continuous improvement in non-production processes
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Improvements in non-productive processes are primarily related to support processes such as bidding, purchasing and logistics, OHS and human resources. Depending on the industry, they can account for more than 50% of all customer satisfaction costs. However 75% to 90% of all administrative activities add no value to the customer. Often, the outputs of administrative functions overlap each other and are difficult to quantify. The paper deals with the possibilities of eliminating waste in administration by using the Value Stream Mapping method, which is also used for production process mapping. In addition, standardization of processes, simplification and streamlining, and culture, which is the most important element in the process of improvement and lean workplace administration. The product of administration is primarily information, not tangible products. It is therefore difficult to measure, define and evaluate, but we can still effectively improve these processes by using Lean tools appropriately.
