Career Service is a very valuable tool of increasing of competitiveness of graduates on the labour market. On one hand, the fresh graduates are threatened by unemployment risk during the post-crisis consolidation; on the other hand, demographic trend contributes to increased competition among institutions of higher education. Based on the analysis of the current situation of labour markets and publicly available offers of universities, the book describes and compares prevailing models of Career Servicesin the Czech Republic, Germany and the United Kingdom. It might be seen that the scope of services offered by the university influences the satisfaction of employers with graduates using these services, especially in terms of soft skills. This is supported by lower unemployment rate of graduates. The presence of Career Services correlates with the increased satisfaction of students with their universities.
