This poster presentation represents information on the research of the occurrence of PM10 suspended particles in ambient air of municipal areas in North Bohemian Brown Coal Basin. Brown Coal Research Institute has practised this research since 2004. It has intent mainly on the monitoring of the situation in small settlements. The measurements of the concentration of PM10 suspended particles are practised by the means of FH 62 I-R apparatus installed in a mobile system (HORIBA measuring vehicle). The results are assessed in dependence on season, wind direction and the development of the area of mining. The influence of opencast brown coal mining and the other regional furnaces of air pollution on the general immission situation of monitored small settlements are evident from the results, but significant influence of local sources of air pollution as well.
