Particulate matters (PM) are an actual part of research not only due to increasing concentrations in the ambient air but primarily because of their negative effects on human health (respiratory and cardiovascular diseases). Especially in the large citiesPM can be a problem due to the road transport that is an important source of these particles. This study was focused on PM production due to mechanical abrasion of tyres and road surface. Results of the dust fall measurements in two road tunnels that are the components of town circuit in Prague are presented in this paper.
