Today, during the second decade of the 21st century, there are various ideas for how society should cope with a changing world. Globalization has been the dominant philosophical direction for many years, which determined the further orientation of society. Now we can find in society many elements that lead to deglobalization. However, economic resources and their geopolitical distribution are especially important. The paper briefly describes the theory of globalization and the importance of interdependence, including the current concept of change in the form of VUCA world. Subsequently, the current economic ties of the main actors are described with the help of economic indicators, as well as the importance of technologies for the Creative industry 4.0, which United Nations Conference on Trade and Development UNCTAD considers to be a continuation of the original concept of Industry 4.0.
