The first section of this article proved that it is possible to use mathematical models during the selection of suitable heald shafts for a given shedding mechanism and the known working conditions of the weaving machine. The second part of the article confirmed the supposition that the base frequency of the heald rod has a significant influence on the behaviour of the heald shaft in the area of frequency. At the same time, the behaviour of the heald shaft has a large influence on the construction processing of the shedding mechanism mainly with regard to the reduction to the clearance in the anchorage, the compliance of the individual components and the irregularity of the running of the drive unit.
