The manufacturers of weaving equipment make efforts to minimise the necessary designing clearance in the fastening of the heald in the frame of the heald shaft. As the heald shaft performs reverse advance motion, the system of healds is transferred during the weaving cycle. The weight of one heald is in order of several grams, however, their number can go to thousands. The article is concerned with the analysis of the movement of the heald during weaving cycle, with the aim to describe the system in question and to propose possible designing changes. The article explains the compilation and experimental verification of dynamic model of a heald. In the frame of the solution, there has been effected a basic analysis of behaviour of a heald during weavingcycle.
