The paper brings solution for the application of a new type of winding, a so-called perfectly precise cross winding developed in the Department of Textile and Single-purpose Machines, TUL Liberec, for the winding of self-supporting bottom bobbins intended to be used as a bottom thread for loop-takers of the sewing machines with lockstitch. The description is given here of the new properties of the perfectly precise cross winding and its advantages when compared to the precise cross winding. This enablesits application also in other fields of textile industry or, as the case may be, other industry fields where the precise cross winding is utilized. The mechanisms are briefly described for the production of perfectly precise cross winding, one of whichis employed for a functional model of winding machine to verify the iscontinuous technology for the production of self-supporting bottom bobbins...
