One of most used tools for accurate planning e.g. scheduling (except spreadsheet programs and plan boards) are APS in conjunction with ERP systems. Nowadays work shop planers, which are included in e.g. MES systems, become popular too. One of these workshop planers is developed within dissertation thesis at Technical University in Liberec ? Department of manufacturing systems.Article discus about one of the important elements of this system - scheduling to constrained capacities bearing shifts and setup times. Influences of these constraints to heuristic optimization are shown on theoretical job-shop model.
