The goal of Rapid Prototyping (RP) is to create a real model from computer data in as short time as possible and in the highest possible quality. The history of this technology goes back to the eighties of last century, when a technology of Stereolitography was invented. Utilization of this technology has a consequence of an acceleration of the whole new product development and also a reduction of costs and improvement of quality. The technology allows us to verify a function of a new product, its design and ergonomics in the first stages of development. It also serves to make final products in a case of smaller series or parts which are not possible to make by conventional technologies.
