EXHAUST GASES PRODUCED IN HIGHWAY TRAFIC BY PASSENGER CAR WITH SPEED CONTROL
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Exhaust emissions are an inseparable part of the utilization of internal combustion engines. They not only pose a major threat to the human health, but also affect the environment as a whole. A steadily increasing number of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines requires a great emphasis on their reduction and devotion of considerable resources to research of this topic. Modern transportation planning utilizes emission models to estimate total vehicular emissions. These models rely on many inputs, one of the most critical being the quantity of exhaust gases produced by cars in everyday operation. This parameter, while difficult to obtain in a laboratory, can be determined by measurement of vehicles on the road with an on-board system. The emission levels are affected by many factors such as vehicle type, technical condition and load, atmospheric conditions, traffic situation and driving style. The focus of this work was to study the effect of automatic speed control (cruise co
