Classification Nanofibrous Wound Dressings by Using Textile Technique
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This study deals with evaluation of wound dressings using conventional textile methods, which are used for determining the properties of fabrics. Biodegradable bandages represent new kinds of nanowoven wound dressings. Effective bioactive medical substances, such as antibiotics, analgesics, steroids and enzymes for better healing or pain relief in wound can be also attached to these dressings. These wound dressings are used in medicine to protect open wounds, especially extensive burns, venous ulcers and other skin defects.Regarding to the properties which nanofiber wound dressings should meet, there is no prescribed group of methods for the evaluation of nanofibrous layers in these days. The aim of this study has therefore been to compile a group of conventional measurement methods. Using these methods will be possible to fully evaluate the nanofibrous layer so that the resulting wound dressing should best fulfill its function.
