The article contains information about the issue of car noise sources and methods of reducing them. The overall level of vibration and noise of automotive transmissions is significantly affected by the placement of gears and rolling bearings. The paper also describes the most significant noise sources spreading throughout the structure of the material (structure-borne sound), which contribute to the overall noise of the car. The article will focus only on sources of noise from the drive train, as it is a key element of any vehicle as it allows it to move in an efficient and effective manner.
