The article has been focused on one of the most successful Sub-Saharan African economies, country, that celebrated the 50th anniversary of independence this year, western-African Ghana. The economic growth in this country has been lately exceeding 5 %, Ghana has one of the most amiable entrepreneurial climates in the region, and though more than a half of its population lives with less than 1 USD a day, only less than 10 % of people suffer from hunger. Country receives about 130 million USD of foreign direct investment and more than 1,3 billion USD of official development assistance a year. The article comments on the recent development and current situation and fills in the statistical data with personal experiences from the country.
