This paper deals with the possibilities of utilization of traffic accident data which is collected since 2007 by the Police of the Czech Republic. A part of this paper is dedicated to the motivation for processing of this information in a concept of an early warning system about a high risk of a traffic accident which requires this data for its operation. The main aim of this paper is an analysis of a data file in relation to the possibilities of its use in modeling and preparation of a modeling matrix. Special attention is given to the preparation of data matrix and adjustments of attributes necessary for obtain-ing good results while creating traffic accident clusters based on location and other attributes which specify it.
