The aim of this article is to develop a discussion on the use of case studies as well as an appropriate tool or method of exploration in the economic field. The article deals with the difference between the case study case, which is currently part of many textbooks and research case studies. In connection with the research case study, the article is divided into five coherent logical units. The conclusion of the article is devoted to the use of case studies as a methodological basis for the dissertation thesis called Organizational transformation of the enterprise and integration of the company during the life cycle. Research case studies will be used in research in connection with dissertation work.
