The paper deals with a new method of evaluation of drape of flat textile fabrics, where the fabric sample placed on a horizontal plane (table) is bent over sharp edge ( 90 deg.) of this table thus creating a direct draping edge. Inclination of this edgefrom the horizontal plane depends in a defined way on the bending and shearing stiffness of the fabric and on its square mass as well. Experimental verification of this principle continues.
