Bimodality of the Cotton yarn hairiness index

Main aim of this contribution is analysing the distribution of H value (characterizing hairiness) for cotton yarns and comparing the compact yarns according to possible bimodality (two types of hairiness). The results show that in general the fibres hairdistribution are of bi-modal shape and comprises a mixture Gausian distribution.
