Air Permeability of Windstoppers Tested by a New Air Permeability Tester

In this study, a new apparatus for testing air-permeability of membranes and other fabrics is presented. The new instrument is able to measure both fabrics differing in material and structure and membranes having low value of air permability. Principlesof apparatus and comparison measurements were illustrated. It was evident that this new instrument matches commercial equipments for testing air permeability of textiles at small proportions, low price and zero noisiness. Some examples of the air permeabiliy measurements on the "windsopper" type textiles are included.
