The strength and the elongation are the most important functional properties and often observed properties of the yarn. Relevant parameters of the strength such as the relative strength and the coefficient of variation strength are evaluated and their significance is given to the subsequent processing of the yarn. The method of continual measurement of the elongation yarn at a given load on the newly developed device ContElon leads to linear deformation of the yarn under the different conditions compared with the classical method on the shredding device. The difference of the continual measurement of elongation yarn for a given load is determined by loading yarn put into the loading zone. While at the classical method the sample of the yarn is definedlength (clamping length) simultaneously exposed loading process, where in these conditions detect linear deformations, respectively the elongation.
