For estimation of the tendency to non-random arrangements of components in the yarn cross-section the descriptive spatial characteristics based on the global and local spatial variations are compared. The blended yarns of PET/cotton type are tested. Themain statistical properties and their suitability for evaluation of mixing quality is shown.
