"In this article the sewing needle heat is measured and compared by contact and contact less method with the lockstitch sewing machine run at 4700rpm , stitch length of 12 SPI and two layers of 2/1 twill denim fabric of 257 GSM is used for the experiment. Sewing was done for 10,20,30 and 60seconds ,for contact less ,method the Thermal camera shows highest deviation,where as for contact method the inserted thermocouple shows minimum deviation as compare to touch method thermocouple and thermal camera measurements. The article is useful for knowing the exact temperature of needle at different speeds of sewing machine and shows comparison of three main methods of needle temperature measurement."
