Fabrication of Silk Fibroin-Polycaprolactone Blend Fibres using Needleless Electrospinning
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Needleless electrospinning is based on highly productive jet creation from free liquid surfaces by self-organization, which makes the technology highly productive and makes the process industrially interesting. In this study, composite electrospun fibresconsisting of silk fibroin (SF) and polycaprolactone (PCL) was fabricated by needleless electrospinning technique. The electrospinning of SF/PCL blends with different composition ratios was performed with formic acid as a spinning solvent. The effects of the mixing ratio in SF/PCL blend solution on properties of the spinning solution, the morphology of electrospun fibres and spinning performance of the process were investigated. A variety of compositions of the SF/PCL blend solutions were successfullyelectrospun by needleless system. It was observed that the blend weight ratio of polycaprolactone to silk fibroin in the spinning solution played an important role in spinning ability of the solution and the diameter of obtained fibres.
