Effect of PVAmHCl Pre-treatment on the Properties of Modal Fabric Dyed with Reactive Dyes: An Approach for Salt Free Dyeing
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
In this research, polyvinylamine chloride (PVAmHCl) was used as a physical modification agent on regeneratedcellulosic fabric such as modal by a pad-batch process. The modified modal samples were dyed with differentreactive dyes containing various reactive groups. The dyeability of the modified modal samples with reactive dyeswithout electrolyte was significantly improved due to an increase in the ionic attraction between the reactive dyesand modified modal fabrics. It has been confirmed through zeta potential analysis, as well as the result of variousfastness properties such as light, wash and rubbing fastness of polyvinylamine chloride pre-treated modal withdifferent reactive dyes are similar to those of untreated modal fabric. Also, the tensile strength, flexural rigidity andcrease recovery angle of pretreated sample were determined, out of that crease recovery angle and flexural rigidityof pretreated sample showing significant improvement.
