Photochromism is defined as a reversible transformation in a chemical speciesbetween two forms having different absorption spectra by photo-irradiation. It issimply a light-induced reversible change of color. Recently, we have producedphotochromic pigments incorporated fabrics with different concentrations ofphotochromic pigments. This paper reviews the impact of different concentrationsof photochromic pigment with respect to the optical properties of fabrics.Temperature variation may induce very significant and different effects on thebehavior of the photochromic system, so there are special devices such as LCAMFOTOCHROM, which is specifically available in LCAM-TUL which helps us to measurethe various optical properties like kinetics of the growth and decay. The results areshowing there is a significant change in the optical properties of fabrics with respectto the concentration of pigments as well as the fabric properties.
