The paper enquires into the processes related to the transformation of a non-place (in terms of Marc Augé), the surroundings of the metro station Vltavská into a place (related to the history of the location and the needs and identity of the local community) in the past thirty years. The main sources of this transformation were street art, urban sports and the commemoration of the relation to the holocaust history (the railway station Bubny and The memorial of silence). Most of these activities were halted by the infrastructural changes of the location
