Das Kapitel befasst sich mit der Entwicklung der Pädagogik nach 1948, in der Zeit des Kommunismus. Der Fokus liegt auf Fragen der veränderten Rolle der Pädagogik im totalitären System, auf der Problematik der inhaltlichen Themen der wissenschaftlichen Forschung und auf der Problematik methodologischer Veränderungen, insbesondere des marxistischen Verständnisses der Pädagogik. Im zweiten Teil widmet sich das Kapitel dem Wandel der Themen und Methoden der Erziehungswissenschaft in der Zeit des sogenannten politischen Tauwetters, im Vorfrühling und im Prager Frühling 1968. Auf theoretischer Ebene untersucht das Kapitel den Wandel der Wissenschaft im totalitären System und in der Zeit der politischen und gesellschaftlichen Liberalisierung und analysiert dabei die Verbindung zwischen Politik und Erziehungswissenschaft.

This chapter deals with the development of educational science after 1948, during the communist era. It focuses on issues such as the changing role of educational science in a totalitarian system, the content of scientific research, and methodological changes, particularly the Marxist conception of pedagogy. The second part of the chapter deals with changes in the topics and methodology of pedagogical science during the so-called political thaw, in the early spring and Prague Spring of 1968. On a theoretical level, the chapter examines the transformation of science in a totalitarian system and during a period of political and social liberalization, thus analyzing the connection between politics and educational science.
