The contribution presents the alternative method of nanofiber composite production. In contrary to the standard planar sheet nanofiber layers this method uses the linear yarns as a collecting support material. This patented technique can produce the nanofiber covered yarns in the velocity of hundreds meters per minute. The main benefits of this composite system are the accessibility of the nanofiber surface, good mechanical properties supplied by the yarn and the high production rate. The paper presentscurrent application and proposes the new application possibilities.
