Poster presentation (European Congress on Innovations in Textiles for Health Care, 10-11 October 2013 Ghent) - Large volumes of textile materials in hospitals and other health care facilities are exposed to risk of contamination. Microbial contaminationcan negatively influence the whole, often long?term medical treatment. New textile material blended constructions offer an excellent resistance against mechanical-physical damages, however durability of functional effects often fades more quickly. Durability of such materials and their functional -protective finishing for minimising risk of infections transfer need to be harmonized.
