L’articolo e focalizzato sull’impiego dei soprannomi in due romanzi di Stefano Benni. I soprannomi sono visti e classificati innanzitutto dal punto di vista semantico, cioe quello degli aspetti della personalita dei personaggi che suggeriscono e degli ambiti semantici da cui sono stati tratti. In secondo luogo sono state fatte anche alcune considerazioni piú formali riguardanti le parti del discorso e la formazione dei soprannomi.

The article focuses on the use of the nicknames in two novels by Stefano Benni. The nicknames are considered and classified from a semantic point of view, i. e. which aspects of the personality they suggest and which semantic field they were taken from. Secondly, the article presents also some more formal considerations concerning the parts of speech and the formation of the nicknames.
