Der Erlkönig: eine mythische Figur, die unzählige Künstler inspiriert hat. Bei Komponisten, Malern, Dramatiker, und sogar in der Filmindustrie hat vor allem Goethes Ballade eine Welle von verschiedenartigen Adaptationen ausgelöst. Diese Studie beschäftigt sich mit der Ballade ‚Erlkönig‘ von Johann Wolfgang Goethe und mit dem Roman ‚Der Erlkönig‘ von Michel Tournier. Inwiefern hat sich Tournier bei Goethe inspiriert? Welche Themen und Motive haben diese zwei Juwelen der europäischen Literatur gemeinsam? Diese Fragen sollte der vorliegende Text beantworten.
