This article describes the evolution of the structure of employment in the Czech Republic beginning with the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union after the present day. It focuses on the characteristics of the development of employment inthe various sectors of the economy. Trade and services as one of the sectors represents a major source of economic growth. The aim is to identify regional disparity in the Czech Republic and to determine the evolution of the share of the employed in terms of sectoral structures. On the basis of statistical data was detected the movement of employed between individual sectors. The largest share of employment consists of the tertiary sector, followed by secondary and primary sector. The employment share of women differs, and employment of men in each of the sectors. Women's employment is highest in the tertiary sector, but employment of men in the secondary sector.
