One of the main objectives of the European Union is decreasing of the differences (disparities) between European Unions regions. The employment, unemployment, GDP, etc. belong to constantly monitored disparities. This paper is devoted to sometimes a little neglected disparities namely those in the social sphere. The aim of the paper is to measure regional disparities in the social sphere by two integrated indicators (health condition and social facilities) and point methods. The results of the measurements will be compared with the calculated location quotients in selected sectors of employment in the sector of social and health care.
