This article discusses the macroeconomic competitiveness of the selected EU countries that form the Visegrad Group plus - Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Austria and Slovenia. Namely, relation between measurable output indicators is analyzed,among them the degree of openness, export performance, transformational performance and relative power of specialization are ranked. These relationships have been tested through a panel regression in the years 1995-2013, when we assumed significant correlation between export performance and other variables and the degree of openness and the others variables. However, this assumption was confirmed only in the case of export and transformational performance.
