Typological data in the process of landscape potential identification with using GIS
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Landscape potential expresses landscape suitability for a particular use, but also the level of landscape usage. Each type of the landscape has the specific landscape spatial composition and internal structure. Significant maps that describe landscape typology in the Czech Republic are maps of soil ecological units for soil rating, forest site complexes and group of types of geobiocens. Analysis of the relations among typological data is one of the key steps in the determining of landscape potential. Data structures of typological data, the possibility of their processing and analysis in GIS are explained in the paper. The model area is the northern part of the PLA White Carpathians.
