A new dimension of security management: LGBT+. Strengthening knowledge, competencies, understanding of minority specifics, and improving communication, including increasing their level of trust
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The Czech Republic intensively protects individual rights, including the rights of LGBT+ people, even if their sexual orientation or gender identification remains a social stigma. The article presents the results of a pilot research carried out at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague, which was inspired by the recommendations of the Public Defender of Rights based on the 2019 research: Being LGBT+ in the Czech Republic. The research is methodologically based on The Conceptual Field of Internal and External Security of the State. Knowledge of LGBT+ people issues, their nature, and their manifestations, should expand the repertoire of managerial competencies for higher performance and effective human resource management in the field of security management.
