Registration of suitable hemp cultivars is considered to be the main criterion for considerable development of hemp growing in the Czech Republic. Plot- and semi-practice trials were sown for testing and evaluating of different foreign cannabis cultivarsduring 1996 - 1999. Based on reached results two cannabis cultivars ? Ukrainian JUSO 11 and Polish BENIKO were registered on the list of licensed varieties. In order to analyse the yield components the trials under the different intensity of fertilisation and different seeding-rate quantities were carried out. The total height of plant and growing dynamics were lower in plants with decreased nutrition level (20 kg N.ha-1) compared to standard nutrition level (80 kg N.ha-1). Continuously the effect of seeding-rate quantity on weed-infestation and growing traits of cannabis stand was evaluated. Achieved results confirmed the correlations between increasing seeding-rate and higher total height of cannabis plants as well as increased weigh
