The main topic of the 11th International Symposium was "Fostering Multilateralism". The conference welcomed 57 expert speakers and around 300 participants. Next to the main panel discussions, the IIR organized several roundtables and workshops as well as informal networking events. The key point of the debates was the role of Czech Republic in current multilateral formats inside the EU and their neighbours, in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The conference also remembered important anniversaries of Czech Republic, such the 30 years since the Velvet Revolution, 20 years since entering NATO and 15 years of membership in EU. One of the main outputs is that the success of the Czech foreign policy is relatively dependant on the strategic partnerships and dialogue.
