It could also be an opportunity to alleviate the refugee problem in the EU’s southern neighborhood at a time when the EU is challenged by the influx of millions of Ukrainian refugees into its borders. The Czech presidency of the EU can play an important role in this respect and contribute to the EU’s support of constructive relations between Turkey and Egypt within this evolving environment.
