Poster: The effects of soya phytoestrogens on the activity of sex hormones in dairy cows.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of this experiment was to determine the effect of phytoestrogens contained in extruded soya on the activity of sex hormones (progesterone and PGFM) in lactating dairy cows. Four Holstein dairy cows were used in the experiment. The experimental group of animal was fed a diet based on extruded soya (S), the control group of animal was fed a diet based on extruded rape-cake (R). The experiment was divided into 2 periods containing four oestrous cycles. The activity of sex hormones in blood samplesof dairy cows, progesterone and PGFM, were analysed. The DM intake was nonsignificantly higher (P>0.05) for cows receiving extruded rapecake in comparison to the group receiving extruded soya. The average milk yield was 21.96 kg in the group R and 22.31kg in the S group (P>0.05). Mean concentrations of progesterone and PGFM in R vs. S group were 5.58 vs. 7.40 nmol/l, and 0.051 vs. 0.086 ng/ml, respectively.
