Poster presented at 8th International Ruminant Reproduction Symposium, Anchorage, AK, September 3 to 7, 2010. The aims of our study were to evaluate pregnancy rate in ewes after artificial insemination and to test extenders for ram semen for short-term and long-term preservation. A high percentage of sperm viability was found for the Ovipro extender but only for the first 48 h. For this reason, Ovipro appeared to be the best for short-term storage of semen.
